Birdshot is pleased to welcome you to our new website. We have completely redesigned our online presence to better serve disc golfers in the Houston area and beyond. Our new website has a number of new features, so many in fact that this article serves as a guide to all the new things we have in store.

Finding content on the Birdshot Website is now easier than ever. Here are the sections of the website and what you can expect to find in them:

• News :: This section of the site will include news about disc golf in our area including coverage of area courses, special event news and news about the Birdshot organization. Our news section also serves to keep you informed on disc golf news from around the world with a slideshow of recent PDGA event photos, a PDGA Twitter feed, disc golf news alerts from Google, upcoming tournaments and recent course reviews from DGCR and more. We also have an RSS feed available of our news articles so you can subscribe to our content in your favorite RSS reader.
• Events :: Here you will find news of upcoming events including official Birdshot tournaments and minis as well as non-Birdshot events in the area. Coverage of past tournaments and minis, including photos, videos and results, will be covered as they should be; as serious sports events. You can also see the entire years schedule of Birdshot events and plan your weekends around disc golf. Finally, just to make sure you don't miss an event we have an RSS feed just for our events.
• Record Book :: This section of the site serves to chronicle the performance of individual disc golfers who participate in our events. Here you will find news on the Birdshot Championship Series (BCS), the Greater Houston Mini Championship Series (GHMCS), the Birdshot Best Score Tracker for area courses and our Official Birdshot Ace Registry.
• Disc Golf Leagues :: Birdshot runs a number of weekly disc golf leagues at area courses. This section will help you to find an area league to participate in, check out the weekly results from league play and even check out information on non-Birdshot leagues in the area.
• Area Courses :: Looking for a course near you? We are pleased to launch one of the best maps of area disc golf courses in the area. Our custom built Google Map shows you all the disc golf courses within a 100-mile radius of Houston. Clicking on a basket icon will show you information about the course including the DGCR rating for the course and the ability to get driving directions to help you get to the course.
• Policies :: Birdshot believes in transparency. We publicly post our policies to make sure that there are no questions about how we run events. If you have any questions about our policies we invite you to leave a comment and start a discussion about how we can improve our policies.
• About Birdshot :: This section of the website covers our organization. Here you can read about the history of Birdshot and see who is in our organization.

Now that you know your way around we want to let you know about some of the new things that you can do on our website:

• Comment :: The Birdshot website has a new commenting feature that allows you to post comments on almost all content we have on our site. If you are planning on attending an event, let people know about it by commenting. Heck, you can even trash talk your fellow competitors if you'd like (just don't get ugly). We reserve the right to remove any post on the site if it violates our commenting policy.
• Subscribe to RSS our feeds :: While we would like you to visit our website every single day we know that is a lot to ask. That is why we are incorporating RSS feeds for the first time on our site. You can now subscribe to our events feed or news feed and our information will come to your RSS reader. This is a great way to stay on top of what is going on with Birdshot.
• Polls :: From time to time we will post a poll on our website about disc golf. Let your opinion be known by voting in our polls, or check out what your fellow disc golfers think on a particular topic.
• Join our Facebook Group :: While not a part of this website per se, the Birdshot Facebook group is another great way to stay informed of news and events about disc golf in Houston.
